The Slovenian short film “The Unfortunate Incident” (Neprijetni dogodek) directed by Jan Fabris, and continuing the well-established and fruitful collaboration with the music composer Ruslan Perezhilo, wins the Special Mention award at the Independent Film Festival (Festival neodvisnega filma) in Ljubljana.

Two new films produced by the Elephant Art Film Production crew were screened at this festival. The award-winning black-and-white film adopts a minimalist approach and immerses us in the world of a young protagonist who, after a traumatic event, finds herself under the sway of social pressure, prejudice, and institutional mechanisms of influence.

The original score, using prepared piano and processed strings sounds, ties together tense dialogue scenes between three female characters – a schoolgirl, her mother, and the head of the educational institution. The soundtrack is expected to be released on digital platforms later this year.
